Hi again all you lovely people out there.

14 DAYS AND THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

We are all super excited at this time as we are 99% ready for all you of you to arrive in our lovely City.

We have just had some much needed rain and we are promised some more on Monday.

This will go a long way in helping with a bit of grass growth on the fields.

You will notice from the fixtures that we have been able to schedule a lot of astro slots for the tournament.

The fixtures have been scrutinized by the SA Masters team and are up on the website for everyone to see.

There will be NO changes made, so please do not ask.

GOODIE BAGS will be handed out at the managers meeting on Friday night at Buffalo Club, Buffalo Park Drive, East London. The Club is very easy to find.

From the beachfront proceed up John Baillie road. The Garden Court is on your left.

At the first small circle turn left and proceed up past the Border Cricket stadium.

At the top of the hill turn right into Buffalo Club. Buses must be parked outside the premises in the street.

The TOURNAMENT TOPS, for those who have ordered and paid will be handed over at the managers meeting.

There will be a limited amount of tops available from Mark at the main hockey complex.

For those of you who might have just woken up, there is a little time left for you to order from Mark.

The DEADLINE is Tuesday 26th July.

UMPIRES: We would like to enlist a little help from anyone who would like to do a bit of umpiring at the tournament. We would appreciate it if we could get some extra umpires as we have been inundated by teams wanting us to supply them with local umpires. To say the least we have been stretched a little thin. There is a fee that we will pay to anyone who can help.

We are appealing to all Province and teams to REFRAIN from having fines meetings at the schools. We do not want to cause any grief for our schools as far as the liquor laws are concerned. Where the schools have a closed pub and you get permission from the person on duty then fines meetings can take place inside these establishments.

However, the ideal place would be at the Border Hockey astro where there is oodles of space to have fun.

TEAM WAIVER FORMS – Please make sure the Tournament Team Waiver Release Form and Personal Waiver Form are emailed to Greg Davis. Forms are available on our websiteNO FORMS NO PLAY

SA MASTERS 2016 AGM – all information regarding the Annual General Meeting is on the website, so please take the time to go onto the website and download the documents.

PHOTOGRAPHS – if any teams would like certain games photographed, they would need to prebook a Photographer for that game. We are offering all images to disk at R300.00.

There will be a Photographer at Bunkers Hill Astro ( main astro field ) daily, capturing images that will be available to view and purchase on the day.

We would need confirmation of this NO later than 1st August 2016.

Please get in touch with Damien from Photoquip.

ALCOHOL & THE SEA – Just a friendly warning to all that booze and salt water do not mix. Please do not go near the sea if you have had a few drinks. There are no lifesavers and plenty of people that will want to take away all your possessions if you wander around the Eastern Beach at night.

FNB will have an ATM on site at Border Hockey. Please make use of it rather than draw cash in town.

SEE YOU ALL SOON

Regards

Kevan
