Hi All,

Well here we go with updates for another super Masters tournament from 5 to 8 August
2016 in East London.

The committee has been hard at work putting all the good things together. We have successfully tied up all the schools with regard to the use of their astro turfs. The schools have been absolutely accommodating as far as all of our requests are
concerned.

They will have food for sale, beer tents and music to keep us all entertained when we are
not limping around after the little white ball on the field.

As mentioned at the AGM all fields are within a 6 kilometer radius and are very simple to get to.

We trust that the spreadsheet handed out at the AGM has assisted in finding suitable
accommodation.

If you require more info or help please feel free to email Hadine.

The big question on everyone’s lips at this stage seems to be the tournament levy. Without a major sponsor on board it has become incumbent on us to find extra money to
help keep costs down as much as possible. This is quite an onerous task in little old East
London. We are trying our best to get all the costs sorted out as quickly as possible. At this stage we are hoping to peg it at R700.00 per player. Obviously this is not cast in stone and
changes could occur.

We have managed to secure Medics at all fields so feel free to fall down as often as you
like or need to rest.

SAB are on board with sponsored beer at 3 cases per team. We sincerely hope this will
not change with the new buyout, albeit we have everything in writing.

The Friday night AGM and meet and greet will be held at Buffalo Club. Plenty to eat,
drink and dance to a super disco.

The Saturday night cocktail party and the Monday night final dinner will be held at the
ICC on the beach front, a short walk from most of the hotels. Just a word in your ear. You
know that we are on the coast so the dress code for the dinner could very well be
“shipwreck” or “Come as you were when the ship went down” Just saying.Okay, I hear you all shouting about the bar prices at the ICC. Well, relax, because we have negotiated unbelievable prices for both events. We have secured a really good disco man for the cocktail party and 3rd Degree will play at the dinner. Those of you who were at our last tournament will remember them. Super duper musicians.

The website is just about ready to go and we will let you have that info soon.

If you have any queries please contact Kevan McDougall on 082 7721851 or
email him.

Yours in Hockey
Kevan McDougall
